Winemaker Dinner at Ubuntu with acclaimed Scribe Winery on Thursday, December 9th, 2010

Join us for an all-inclusive epic evening of artisan wines and fall inspired dishes from the biodynamic gardens of Ubuntu Restaurant and Scribe Sonoma gardens.  Guests will be served a family-style garden menu by executive chef Aaron London and pastry chef Carl Swanson paired with the following wines from Andrew Mariani, cult winemaker of Scribe Wines.

UBUNTU RESTAURANT KICKS OFF MONTHLY “GARDEN TOUR AND DINNER” ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2010

Ubuntu announces our first monthly Ubuntu Garden Tour and Dinner on Thursday, November 18th, 2010.  You will meet at 4 pm and proceed to the Ubuntu Biodynamic Gardens (a 15 minute drive from downtown Napa) .  On arrival, you will enjoy a tasting of Lion’s Run Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from our adjoining vineyard, and begin a guided tour of our fall garden and source of 80% of our organic, fresh vegetable cuisine. The tour will include a brief history of biodynamic farming and the methods which we use to balance and unify our garden with the earth.  Please feel free to touch and taste the bounty to develop a sensory enjoyment of the varieties of greens and other vegetables which inspire our signature dishes.

After the tour, you will return to Ubuntu and sit down with the group for a family style, seasonal menu of dishes created from executive chef Aaron London and pasty chef Carl Swanson created from the earth’s bounty on that day. Wine pairings and dessert included in this six course chef’s menu, as well as tax and service gratuity.  $120 all inclusive price per person, transportation not provided.  Reservations required.  Please email or call 707.251.5656.
